DAY 6 - I didn't bother taking any pictures, since this was a travel day. Not much to see.
I waved a fond farewell to my hostel and got my arse down to the bus station. WizzAir had a coach for me at 11.30am. It was a comfy coach, but it was nevertheless 90mins or so. I arrived at Katowice Airport with plenty of time to kill, and was initially a tad peeved that the plane was apparently 15mins late. Oh well, I had an expensive sandwich and big bag of crisps and just waited. Thankfully, the plane did get away on time, and land on time, though the screaming baby on the flight wasn't much fun to endure.
Stockholm Skavsta is a bit too far away to be called "Stockholm", I think, but I suppose I was able to get a nice scenic route out of it. When I got into the Central Station, I was a bit lost, as there are higher level and lower level roads on top of each other - something I couldn't tell on Google Earth. There are a multitude of roads around this area, too, so navigation is quite tricky, especially without a proper map. Things got easy once I crossed the river into Gamla Stan, and I was in the hostel in no time. It's a little quiet compared to my exciting Krakow hostel. With the knowledge that there's no breakfast in this hostel, and everything's expensive, I went to the nearest shop for food. Just cereal, milk and Sprite Zero, though, but I'm sure the cereal will see me through.
I ate a "Bacon Cheeseburger Meal" at a greasy place nearby for 75kr, and was satisfied. With little more to do, I got some much needed rest. Tune in another time for Day 7, the busiest day yet...
